It’s been a tough few years and the Observatory Civic Associations needs to take a deep breath and reflect on our Vision and Mission. In 2017, we spent time thinking through the Vision we had for Observatory and how we would like to get there. In 2018, we updated it a little and have since then not revisited our Vision and Mission. We think its time that we took a bit of time to reflect on whether the Obs Charter and Obs Values are still relevant, or need tweaking or rethinking. More to the point, we need to decide what we are going to do to get there.
So, we will be holding a workshop on Saturday 27th May from 1pm to 3pm at the Observatory Community Centre (NA Room) to revisit these documents.
Please come and contribute to a revitalisation of the OCA.
You will need to have read through the documents before hand and to have thought through (a) is the Vision still fit for purpose or is there something that should be changed/added/removed? (b) what should be done to realise that vision (short-term, medium-term or long-term) and (c) who will be responsible for the doing?
We think the time has come for us to take stock and revitalise the OCA to achieve all the great things that Obs is known for and should be known for – as in our statement of values
Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.
