Please see our new petition on amandla.mobi and consider signing it. The aim of the petition is not to prolong the alcohol ban. It is to get SA Breweries to stop their litigation and allow government to use its scarce resources to limit the spread of the virus and to treat those who have it, not waste time and money defending unnecessary court cases. Success with containing the virus will mean the temporary ban can be lifted sooner rather than later, and replaced with more targeted’ less stringent restrictions.
Feel free to circulate it far and wide to elicit more signatures. If your organisation would like its name added to the list of supporting organisations at the bottom of the petition, please let me know. The petition can be edited continuously.
