Hello all
We had a fiesty meeting on 27 Oct 2021 with SAPS, WCLA and some residents of Milton Road re Lobey Fiesta and La Verte.
The big take away was that residents have to become more active in reporting issues so that a body of evidence can be built up against these establishments. I will send you the minutes of this meeting in due course for your information.
As an Observatory resident, if you have a complaint regarding noise/disturbance/nuisance against an establishment in Observatory, please do the following:
1. Call 107 or 1011 to report the disturbance and obtain a reference number. Send the details of the complaint and reference no to [email protected] for record purposes and submission to the relevant authorities.
2. Or call OBSID and report the matter. OBSID will log the complaint with Law Enforcement and get the reference number and submit to the relevant authorities.
3. If at all possible, obtain video or photographic evidence of any misdemeanours – all photos and video footage must be date and time stamped.
Submit these with details to [email protected] for record purposes and submission to the relevant authorities.
Authorities cannot act without evidence – as a community we need to assist by gathering the relevant evidence!
