Community alert – increasing number of crime incidents in lower Observatory

OBSID is appealing to the community to be more careful and vigilant about their safety. Please work with us to keep yourselves and your property safe. In the past week, more than 50% (8/15) of crime incidents reported to OBSID took place in lower Obs.

In the same period, the OBSID public safety team attended to 37 proactive actions highlighting safety risks to residents (which is over 40% of all proactive actions taken in Observatory) – see below:
• 18 open gates
• 8 visible valuables left inside vehicles
• 2 open garage doors
• 2 unlocked vehicles
• 2 open windows
• 2 open doors
• 3 vehicle lights left on.

People intent on committing crime keep a watch and target areas where opportunities are many.
