For information, the application for a development in Lytton Rd was turned down by the MPT
The reasons were:
7.1.1. The shortfall of on-site parking will have a significant negative impact on the surrounding area from a traffic and parking perspective.
7.1.2. The proposal will negatively impact the surrounding road network.
7.1.3. The existing rights of the surrounding properties will be significantly negatively affected.
7.1.4. The proposal is not desirable in terms of the traffic impact.
It’s a good outcome and an occasion where the MPT looked at the details carefully and the residents and OCA presented clear reason why the development should not be permitted. It was a development squeezing a dense block of flats onto two adjoining erfs with virtually no parking
