Not a tap nor a toilet for the 200 people living in this Cape Town informal settlement

The private owners of the land will not apply to the City of Cape Town for services to be extended to the occupants and are applying for their eviction. The Human Rights Commission says new government policy requires the city to provide services.

Over 200 people, who are residents of the Gate 7 informal settlement, near the Maitland Cemetery, have been living without water and toilets for the past 30 years…
