Jazz event
The members of the Jazz band, The Nickies, are all young and talented boys from the Muizenberg High School. They recently started playing at the restaurant, Kaapse Potlak, in Retreat every Friday from 6pm – 9pm. They are excited to participate in the Streetopia event and hope people will come hear them play at Observatory Library from 11am – 1pm. Picture of the band attached.
The local author and Observatory resident, Shantalie Hewavisenti, will do a reading from her new book, Super Sassy Suki’s Great Escape, to parents and children from 10 – 10:30 am. Short biographical picture book based on the mini adventure of Suki, the once upon a time shelter dog. All parents and dog lovers are welcome. Pictures of the book and author attached.
