The Obs Civic Association’s AGM is scheduled for 6pm, Tuesday 13 November 2018 at the Observatory Community Centre.
It’s been nearly a year since the community rallied together in response to threats to the Civic; these efforts saw OCA membership grow by nearly 400%, and a renewal of the civic life in our community.
Here on some of the steps you can take to help keep that spirit alive: renew your OCA membership, join us at the AGM, and even considering standing for election to the next OCA management committee.
Renewing OCA membership
To participate in the AGM, you must be a paid-up member for the 2018/19 year.
Only signed-up members can vote and participate at the AGM. Those who didn’t renewed their membership online can still sign up in person before the meeting, from 5pm at the Obs Community Centre. Please bring ID, proof of residence, and R50 cash (R20 for students and pensioners).
Please bring proof of residence, even if you signed up online.
Elections for the 2018/19 committee
Elections for our next committee will take place at the AGM. You can see who’s standing for election here.
