Update from the Western Cape Food Forum

As we head into the last quarter of 2023, there is hope on the horizon.

As food consumers, we hope to see some relief in food prices along with a drop in inflation and producers’ costs. As producers, our dams are full with the September rains and ready for a productive dry season. Despite this, our collective work for food system changes continues, and we are reminded of the ebbs and flows of striving for systemic change for all.

On that note, this Food Forum newsletter aims to showcase various initiatives that support food security and nutrition for the most vulnerable residents in the Western Cape.

Our goal is to help you connect, learn, and collaborate to ultimately build a better, fairer, and more sustainable food system.
