Very sad news Obs. Howard Richman passed away in his sleep on Sunday night. Howard ran Green Elephant and has long been involved in Obs community affairs, especially with regards safety and security. He will be sorely missed.
Howard owned the Green Elephant Backpackers in Milton Road and also, at one stage, a cellphone repair shop on Lower Main Road in the CBD. He was a very good organiser of community affairs with the Observatory Civic Association, Obswatch and neighbourhood watch groups for many years. He was also an avid supporter of OBSID.
