Obsid recently obtained permission to use a vacant plot between Molenviet Rd and the freeway for vegetable allotments. We have 8 large allotments available - each one being 3m by 9m which is twice the size of the average in the UK. With the rains now upon us its the time to start growing your own veggies. This is especially aimed at obs residents who do not have gardens, so if you are interested please contact the Obsid Office, This email address is being protected from spambots. Observatory "Guerilla Gardening" Tour

Oct 2009

The Observatory City Improvement District is getting off the ground and one of the committees formed is the Ecology Group. The first activity to be undertaken by this group will be a walking tour of existing "guerilla gardening" spots on Saturday 7 November at 10.30 am, led by the group leader, Gareth Leyman.

We will meet at Pepper Square where one of Gareth's many guerilla gardens is and will also look at two other gardens done by Gill Bond and Sara Pratt. Thereafter we will got to Touch of Madness and draw up a list of places where more such activities can be undertaken, with participants of the tour group hopefully agreeing to supervise a spot each near their place of residence.
